King began his collegiate career at Barry University Miami before transferring to CSU Lakers in Atlanta. In Miami, he secured top assists in his Freshman season and helped Barry win The Sunshine State Conference Tournament. His move to Atlanta saw him win the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) and the Player of the Week Award 4 times.
